A beautiful website

For those who do not already know it, I recommend the website carmelitequotes.blog.  It contains a short reading on a Carmelite-related subject each day together with beautiful illustrations.  I found this quote there for yesterday’s feast of SS Martha, Mary, and Lazarus from St Teresa of the Andes: ‘The house of Bethany was the delight of Jesus when He was on earth; it was His favourite dwelling. There He was intimately known by Lazarus, served by Martha and madly loved by Mary. The Carmelite being close to Jesus reproduces that intimate life now. She learns to love Him and serve Him according to His will. She is His refuge in the midst of the world; she, with His chosen ones, is His favorite dwelling place.’

I am off shortly to a triple family celebration in Sussex this weekend – two birthdays and a wedding anniversary – so I won’t be blogging tomorrow.  Back on Monday.
