New Blood

It’s so good when you get to see younger souls entering your Carmelite community. It’s easy for members to grow comfortably old together, one almost doesn’t notice the lack of new blood, but of course that is a dangerous place to be in.  Nowadays new members when they come are often from abroad - and that can bring immeasurable enrichment.  Nowadays my home community has members from Hong Kong, Singapore, America, and Poland and that represents quite a change from when I entered, but it is a beautiful illustration of the Catholicity of Holy Mother Church.

We are asked to pray for the Diocese of Chiang Mai and Northern Thailand, as the Northern Mission celebrates its centenary. The process of selecting a new bishop continues.
