News from Carmel at Haifa

News comes from the Carmelite Sisters at Haifa - which is on Mount Carmel. They tell us that the Northern part of Israel, where they are, is quiet at the moment. Some of them are veterans of past wars and they have longstanding arrangements for emergencies. Each sister knows what her role is if an alarm sounds. They have some rooms available in emergency for local families. A reminder that tensions are endemic in this part of the world.
