A Carmelite tragedy

Sad news from Tanzania, where four members of the Carmelite Missionary Sisters of St Therese of the Child Jesus were killed in a road accident on 15 September, along with their driver.  The Sisters had been in the diocese for the perpetual profession of three of their members, and were on their way to the airport to go to Dar-es-Salaam.  One of them was the Superior General. Among the victims was the Superior General.  I find it deeply saddening when religious or priests die in this tragic way, so challenging to our belief in Divine Providence.  The ways of God are indeed mysterious, and He stretches our faith in the face of such events.  May these beautiful souls rest in peace and rise in glory.
