A fragile plant

I was privileged to attend the first physical meeting of a new South Wales OCDS group in Cardiff on Saturday.  We had had a virtual meeting in January with five present, but two have had to drop out since.  So we were but three, but who knows what God’s plan is?  My own St Elijah Group at the Boars Hill Friary began with just four, but in the next ten years grew to such an extent that we calved and gave birth to a second group.  This first physical meeting on Saturday in Wales was in a private house, but we look forward to using a room in the parish hall of St Helen’s, Caerphilly in April, by the courtesy of parish priest Fr John Kelly.  Caerphilly is handily placed between Cardiff and the famous Valleys – historically the location of the legendary coal mines.  This little group is a fragile flower – but as such it reminds me that this is God’s work; we must rely on Him to give the growth.
