A word from Therese

'A word or a smile is often enough to put fresh life in a despondent soul.'

I have often thought that the first duty of love is to pay attention to others. It is so simple as an idea, though our own emotions and moods sometimes interfere with what we would like to do. If I am stressed, it is hard to pay proper attention to others. Sometimes I will be so wrapped up in my troubles that I just can't cope with attending to those of others. I have to hope that the phase will pass, and it usually does. Carers can turn into carees under the pressures of life. But if we remain faithful, we will receive help sooner or later.
