Appeal from Jerusalem

Unfortunately this arrived rather too late because it concerns a special day today, but I post it anyway. The Assembly of Catholic Ordinaries [Bishops] of the Holy Land has sent out an appeal for today to be a day of fasting, abstinence, and prayer with Eucharistic adoration and recitation of the rosary. We all know the purpose of it, as war has broken out yet again in that land where Jesus trod and did his redeeming work. What more can we say?
