Going Deeper

'Going deeper' - that has been a phrase constantly in my mind in recent years. The desire to go deeper was the motive that led me to Carmel more than twenty years ago, and it still drives my commitment. We have a small 'Going deeper' group in our parish and we meet monthly to say evening prayer together, to study Carmelite writings, and to pray together in silence. I don't know where these meetings will lead because it is God's group and not ours, and that I would say about any similar gathering. But I hope and pray that there will be graces in it, that we shall grow closer to the Lord through it, that it will bring blessing on our parish. We are few as of now but who knows what the future will hold?
