St Therese says ...

'Let us love, - since our hearts are made for nothing else'.

I love this saying, because it reminds us that when we practise what Jesus teaches, what the Church teaches, we are doing what we are made to do. That especially encourages me to pray, for if God made me to be a praying creature, it means that when I pray I am fulfilling his purpose for me as a human being. I know therefore that the act of praying will contribute to my health and welfare just like eating, drinking, conversing, reading, relaxing. It's natural to pray and it's good for me!
