The Holy Father speaks about St Therese

The Holy Father has published a new Apostolic Exhortation entitled 'C'est la confiance' - 'It is confidence' dedicated to St Therese. I think the general meaning of the title is something like 'confidence is the thing (that matters)' - i.e. confidence in the love of God for us. The Exhortation was published on 15 October, the Feast of St Teresa, deliberately identifying the Saint of Lisieux as 'the mature fruit' of the teaching of her great Spanish predecessor.

By publishing the exhortation not on a date linked to the life of Therese the Pope wanted her to 'transcend those celebrations and be taken up as part of the spiritual treasury of the Church'. For the document the link is below.
