Spiritual sharing

I have always felt deeply honoured when another person entrusts me with their private thoughts and spiritual experiences. This is a profoundly moving sign of trust and touches the heart strings. It can happen in any context of course - especially perhaps on a shared journey, maybe a long walk or a train or coach journey. I personally have experienced that the Carmelite context is a great encouragement to it, and in our groups it can take place among several persons, which is specially precious. Just one more reason to be grateful to the goodness of God in giving us Carmel. May He make our communities places of healthful sharing and mutual encouragement.
