The little Arab

I have been learning about Mariam Baouardy, known as 'the little Arab ', who was born in the Holy Land in the nineteenth century. Her life was a series of trials from childhood, when she was orphaned, but she received a corresponding series of graces. She lived for a while in France before becoming a Carmelite and returning finally to the Holy Land . I recommend her story for it's sheer beauty and for the special way God led her soul.
